One small team reads every message. Email is the fastest way to reach us; we answer within a few days.
1. Contact us
- Help, bugs, privacy and everything else: [email protected]
- Requesting an invite to the founding beta: [email protected]
When you write about a specific page, include its link; about the app, include your device and the app version shown under You.
2. Report something wrong
- A sighting that isn’t right (wrong bottle, wrong store, wrong price): send the sighting link and what you saw instead. Sightings are also checked against each other and against state data, so a second sighting from you that disagrees is the fastest correction.
- A store that closed, moved or is not a liquor store: send the store link. Store records come from state licence rosters and a places dataset; we correct them by hand.
- A bottle listed under the wrong name or brand: send the bottle link and the correct name as it appears on the label.
- A photo showing something it shouldn’t (a person, a receipt, a plate): send the sighting link and we will hide the photo.
3. An image you own
Bottle images on the site are one of three things: a photo we hold with a recorded licence (a contributor’s sighting photo, a press-kit image used with permission, or our own), an image shown directly from the rights-holder’s own website, or a blank category placeholder. If an image of yours appears and you would like it removed or credited differently, email us with the page link and how you own it; we remove it from view while we check and do not restore it without your permission.
4. Your account and data
Your account page lets you download everything we hold about you and delete your account. In the app the same controls are under You → Account & data. Our Privacy Policy explains what stays in the availability record after deletion and why.
5. Questions we get most
- Does BourbonDropMap sell alcohol?
- No. We sell, ship, deliver and reserve nothing. We show where bottles have been seen; buying one is between you and the store.
- Who is it for?
- Adults of legal drinking age — 21 and over in the United States.
- Where does the data come from?
- State liquor-authority inventory feeds and lottery pages where a state publishes them, plus sightings reported by contributors standing in front of the shelf. Every availability line says which, and as of when.
- A bottle you showed wasn’t there.
- Availability is an estimate as of the time shown. Feeds lag and allocated bottles sell in minutes. If the store told you it never had it, report the sighting (section 2) so it can be corrected.
